  1. You must take a comfortable sitting position and close your eyes, while the eyelids should be completely relaxed. Attach to the eyes warm hands, creating darkness. Put pressure on the palms should not be. Stay in this position for about 2 minutes, then remove your hands and, without opening your eyes, hold the eyeballs to the right and left several times. In contrast to farsightedness, myopia is a violation of the normal visual functions of a person, in which objects in the vicinity are seen very well, and everything that is located at a certain distance, takes unclear outlines.

With this ailment, a certain set of exercises is also required, which will help relieve tension from the muscles of the eyes, help blood circulation and prevent the intensive development of such a disorder:

  1. Sit up straight, lift your head. In this position, squeeze your eyes tight, stay in this state for about 3 to 5 seconds, then open your eyes and stay in this condition for 3-5 seconds. The exercise itself must be repeated from 6 to 8 times;
  2. Staying in the original position (sitting, back is flat, head is raised), start to blink often, trying not to over-exert the eyelids. Do exercise less than 1 min;
  3. Stand, put your legs shoulder-width apart, put your hand in front of you, lift your thumb and focus your attention on it for a maximum of 5 seconds. Repeat the exercise at least 10 times;
  4. Staying in the same position, stretch out your right hand in front of you and extend your index finger. Then focus on his gaze and slowly bring him to the tip of the nose until the image begins to split. Repeat the procedure 10 times.

Improving eyesight methods of famous doctors

There are several proven techniques that were created by talented ophthalmologists - this is the American doctor William Horatio Bates and the Russian doctors Vladimir Zhdanov and Mirzakarim Norbekov. On each of the techniques worth staying in more detail.

Bates technique

William Bates believes that all problems with human visual functions emanate from the stresses received during an intensified examination of a subject.

That is, excessive focusing of the eyes contributes to the gradual pulling of the eyeballs, from which myopia develops.

To avoid this, your eyes should be given the opportunity to relax to the maximum. A special Om-card, which is a complex Indian pattern, is called to help in this. The exercises themselves are as follows:

  1. Install an ohm-map at eye level at a distance of 0.3-3 m, fix the gaze at the central point, then slowly drive them along the outline of the drawing. Attention should also be directed to the fact that the point where the eye looks is the blackest. After the exercise is done, the whole picture will appear even darker than at the beginning. Exercise is performed 3 times;
  2. Stand, set the Om-map at eye level and at a distance of 0.3-1.5 m. Fix the look at any point of the circle around the intricate central picture (the circle looks like a sun or sunflower). Start moving your gaze (while moving your head to match the movement of your eyes) from one broken line to another, making a soft blink on concentrating your gaze on the corners. Each line segment where the look is fixed will appear more black than others;
  3. An ohm-map at the same distance, but now the gaze should not move along broken lines depicting petals or rays, but along a smooth circle. It is necessary to simultaneously move both the eyes and the head. Then close your eyes and try to repeat the same procedure already in this state;
  4. Set Sivtsev's table in front of you (a set of letters arranged in a row one after another, each one smaller than the previous one) at a distance of 90 cm. Create a good light and fix your eyes on the clearly visible letters. Do the same with dim lighting.

Zhdanov method

This technique combines the foundations of many other techniques, plus it also has such an important component as the spiritual aspect. Here, as an exercise, gymnastics according to the Bates method, combined with the designs of yogis from India, was taken.

Zhdanov also recommends adjusting your diet and generally starting a healthy lifestyle. The essence of the technique is to create a balance of the movable muscles of the eye (strained to relax, and the weak to strengthen):

  1. It is necessary to make oscillatory movements with eyeballs first to the right and to the left, and then up and down;
  2. To make similar movements with eyes first up and down, and then down and up;
  3. Close your eyes tightly and then open your eyes wide (the exercise is done quickly and intensively);
  4. Perform circular movements with the eyeballs first to the right side, then to the left;
  5. Gently draw the eyes of the inverted figure 8 (or infinity sign);
  6. Blink often (do it without effort).

Norbekov method

This method will help prevent eye health problems, as well as increase visual acuity and relieve from a number of diseases of the visual apparatus:

  1. Keep your head level, lift your eyes up to the extreme point, then return to the starting position and lower the eyes down to the extreme point. Back to the starting position again;
  2. Head exactly, look left to the extreme point, return to the starting position and do the same in the right direction;
  3. To draw with eyes the diagonal line from the lower right corner to the upper left, then do the same in a different sequence;
  4. To draw with eyes the sign of infinity (the figure should be as large as possible);
  5. Fix the look first on the tip of the nose, then transfer it from one side to the other, then fix it on the objects on the sides. Then translate and fix the view on the bridge of the nose, look ahead and fix the objects on the sides;
  6. Two index fingers to bring to the tip of the nose, then slowly spread them apart along one straight line. In addition, each eye should follow the finger (left - left, and right - right);
  7. Present in front of a large dial of gold color, look around him first clockwise, fixing on each digit, and then counterclockwise.

Prevention of eye health

To preserve the health of the eyes and not to resort further to the help of doctors and surgeons, it is necessary to monitor their health from the very beginning. This is especially true of modern people, often working with computers and preferring to watch TV for a long time. Prevention measures should be as follows:

  1. The distance from the computer monitor to the eyes should be at least 30 cm, its upper edge should be 10 cm lower, and you should take breaks in work every 15 minutes;
