Black lacquer manicure as a sign of sophistication and mystery

It is considered that covering nails with “mourning” varnish is characteristic only of outrageous teenagers who want to stand out by all means, or who are trying to emphasize their affiliation to the fashionable teenager environment subculture.

However, this is not entirely true, or rather, not at all. This color in manicure, as in clothing, does not necessarily symbolize gloom and mourning. Rather, a manicure with black lacquer gives a feminine look notes of some defiantly daring secrets, attracting the attention of the stronger sex to its owner.

If you want to make it one of the features of your own original style, you can try several options to determine which one suits you best.

All shades of black

First of all, you should make the right choice in relation to the texture of varnish. Despite the seeming monotony, such a manicure may have several different tonal solutions, among them matte, mother of pearl, sparkles, gloss or craquelure.

It should be borne in mind that if the matte version perfectly masks all the flaws - for example, irregularities on the surface of the plate - then the gloss and nacre, on the contrary, underline them.

In addition, on a dark background, any shortcomings of the “worn” decoration will be very noticeable: scratches, cracks, chips, so it must be absolutely fresh. For better preservation over lacquer we recommend applying a special protective coating.

I have an idea!

Consider the various ideas of manicure with black lacquer. Recently, a new trend has come into vogue, called nail art (from the English. "Nail" - nail + "art" - art) and signifying the decoration of nails by applying various drawings and applications to them. Dark varnish is a great backdrop for this kind of art.

We can offer several options for such a solution.

  1. "Black caviar". One type of voluminous manicure, in which a special coating is applied over the lacquer - imitation of fish eggs. It is ideally combined with the makeup of the lips, made in the same technique.
  2. "French duet". It is performed using the classic jacket technique, when one part of the nail plate is covered with a special strip, the remaining is painted with the selected tone, and then the coating is applied to the previously "masked" area. You can choose any one of two options: "dark top, bright bottom", or vice versa.
  3. "Ladybug". It is applied as a dark lacquer on a red base, and vice versa: in this case, the drawing takes the form of "negative."
  4. "Safari" - the picture repeats the color of the skins of various wild animals of the African continent: zebra, giraffe, leopard, etc.
  5. Brand - one of the new-minded types of youth style, in which the nail plate depicts the logos of various brands. Images can be as white on a dark background, and dark - on white.

The technique of performing the above methods of nail care is fairly traditional: a clean base is applied to the cleaned and sanded nail plate with the cuticle removed, followed by color variants (of course, each subsequent layer can be applied only after the previous one is completely dry).

For drawing drawings, you can use a thin needle or a wooden toothpick. Some of them are quite accessible "at the amateur level", but if you are not completely confident in your skills and abilities, it is better to trust a professional.

Briefly and clearly

There is an opinion that for manicure with black lacquer you definitely need long “scratches”, however it is wrong: on neatly trimmed and carefully polished nails it looks no worse.

Fashionable manicure options with black varnish for short nails:

  1. Craquelure - a special effect, which is a small cracks on the lacquer surface that appear after it dries. Due to this, fancy patterns are formed, which can not be repeated, so with the manicure made in this technique, you will be inimitable. Achieved by applying lacquer crackle to the base. As it can be used both black and color types. For reliability, the entire composition is covered with a transparent layer.
  2. "Striped" manicure. This effect can be obtained as a simple application of strips of one color on the basis of another, and by sticking special strips. If the strips are metal, they are attached, carefully cut off the excess and then covered with a transparent layer. If we are talking about a special scotch, then it is glued to the main color so that, grasping the "tails", you can remove the strips. Then a second color scheme is superimposed on top of them, and after removing the scotch tape through it, the background color will “look through”.
  3. The “lunar” appearance of the nail art has nothing to do with the moon, but it is called that, because it focuses on nail holes. The effect is achieved by using overlays on the nail well area during the application of the main background. After removing the lining, it is painted in some contrasting color.
  4. Matte gloss combines simplicity and grace. To achieve the effect, a glossy varnish of the same color is applied on a matt black base.

Red and black

A black and red manicure made with gel polish can have a truly stunning effect if done correctly. Gel polish firmly rests on the nail plate, allowing the woman for a sufficiently long time to keep neat nails. However, this is a difficult material to work with, and applying a gel coat is not so easy with quality.

For this you will need:

  • special base coating for nails "Shellac";
  • UV lamp for drying;
  • gel varnishes of red and black colors;
  • foil sheet;
  • alcohol for disinfection;
  • nail file;
  • makeup sponge;
  • nourishing oil for lubrication of the cuticle.

We proceed to the process of performing a beautiful manicure with a black gel polish in combination with red.

  1. Using a nail file, we make the upper part of the nail plate rough for better adhesion to the gel polish.
  2. Apply a thin layer of "Shellac", using your fingers under the lamp for 10-15 seconds;
  3. Then we put the main color and dry it again.
  4. After that, apply two layers of red gel polish, carefully drying each for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour black gel polish on a sheet of foil - enough to dip a makeup sponge into it.
  6. We draw a black varnish arc along the tips of the nails, turning its concave side to the root of the plate.
  7. Dry under the lamp for 1 minute.
  8. We dip the make-up sponge with a corner in a dark gel polish.
  9. Light movements spend a sponge on the surface of the marigold from the dark line down, until then, until there is a dual tone ombre.
  10. Apply the top layer and dry it under the lamp for three minutes.
  11. After that, gently wipe the skin around the nails with a paper napkin soaked in alcohol solution, removing excess gel varnish.
  12. Lubricate the skin at the base of the nail bed with nourishing oil.

As you can see, the procedure is not simple, so before you start it, think about whether it is better to visit the beauty salon and give yourself in the hands of the master?

In conclusion, it remains only to note that the manicure with black lacquer - "the colors of a raven's wing" - is a rather specific "weapon", and you should not resort to it in all cases of life.

At the job interview, as in the exam, the type of "fatal beauty" is not quite appropriate, but for a romantic date or a festive party - as they say, what the doctor ordered.
