Of course, the scarf is the most common name for neck accessories, of which there are quite a few. And before you start experimenting with the techniques of tying scarves, it is advised to learn how to classify them, especially since this is reflected in them.

  1. The tippet is a common scarf, characterized by large dimensions (70 cm and more in width). It can be woolen, knitted, cotton and silk, and also often replaces the headgear in the cold season — they cover the head with it;
  2. A shawl is a large square scarf that bends in the middle and is worn on the shoulders. Sometimes woolen shawls are triangular at once;
  3. The boa is a fur variety of scarves that most resembles a cape;
  4. A bactus is a shawl that is smaller than usual and is worn, tied at the back of the neck and leaving a corner in front. It is a warm accessory and is suitable for winter;
  5. Arafatka - a piece of linen or cotton fabric with a geometric pattern, which is worn similarly to baktus, and in the traditional version and as a headband;

  1. In French - fold the scarf in half, wrap around the neck and stretch the ends into the resulting loop. This is the classic version of tying scarves for everyone;

  4. "Ascot" - put a long scarf on the shoulders, crossing both ends and bending inward the end, which turned out to be below. Tighten the knot and fix so that it is not tight;
  5. The artist is to put a long wide scarf on his shoulders so that one end is longer than the other, and toss it over his back. This is not an option for warming;
  6. Double wrapping - lay a scarf at least 1.5 m long on the shoulders so that one end is at chest level. Wrap the second around the neck in half, closing all open areas of the neck. Fix both ends between layers.

Like all accessories, it is important not only to wear scarves beautifully, but also to combine them with other elements of the wardrobe. There are several fashionable rules for how this is done:

  1. A scarf should be combined only with the upper part of the clothes - the color and texture of skirts, trousers and even shoes in no way affects the selection of this accessory;
  2. Summer models can be combined only with clothes that have a neck and shoulders open;
