What are the ways to remove stains

Immediately it should be noted - to remove fresh stains is always easier. Therefore, as soon as you discover such a misunderstanding, you need to start cleaning immediately.

The most effective is a dishwashing detergent. Just put a little liquid on the fabric, gently rub into a greasy stain, and you need to move from the edge to the center, add hot water. Set aside clothes for half an hour and then wash.

An important point: traces of grease stains need to be washed on the inside.

There are other suitable means.

Mustard

This tool is best used to clean linen items such as tablecloths. Take a little powder, mix with water so as to make a slurry. Apply the mixture to the stain, hold for 20-40 minutes, then wash the clothes in warm water.

Bread

It does a good job with stains on velvet bread crumb: attach it to the pollution, wait until the fat is absorbed. After that, wash things in a soapy solution.

Dentifrice

If the stains are on the product of wool, you will help tooth powder: spread out clothes on a flat surface, sprinkle contamination with powder, put tracing paper on top. Carefully iron the stain with an iron, then press it down with a load, for example, taking a few books. Leave on for 10-12 hours, then wash the clothes.

Chalk powder

If you want to clean chintz, silk or any other delicate light-colored fabrics, you can use chalk. Spread the soiled thing, treat the trail with the agent, leave the fabric for 3-5 hours. Then shake off the powder and iron the fabric with an iron. Finally, wash clothes with household soap.

Starch

Apply starch to the fresh trail, leave for 15 minutes, then remove the remaining powder. If necessary, you can repeat the procedure. Clothes need to be washed.

Laundry soap

This tool perfectly copes with stains of various types on any clothing. You just need to rub the cloth with soap, wrap the thing itself in a bag or cellophane, leave for 10-12 hours. After that, wash your clothes thoroughly - no dirt should remain.

We remove old pollution

But to cope with the old grease stains much more difficult. Some use industrial stain cleaners such as the Ecover or Vanish. But there are also several tools that every hostess will have.

Glycerol

It is necessary to heat it in a water bath, soak a trace on clothes with liquid (the main thing is that the glycerin temperature should be at +35 degrees).

Rub the dirt gently, and remove glycerine residues with a cotton swab dipped in gasoline. In conclusion, you need to carefully wash the soiled thing using any stain remover.

A mixture of ammonia, water and glycerin is only suitable for removing contaminants from materials such as silk, velvet (delicate fabrics), since aggressive materials cannot be used when working with them. Just take the specified ingredients in a 1: 1 ratio, blot the traces thoroughly and leave for 4 hours. Then wash the item carefully.

Sawdust

Soak the sawdust in gasoline so that they are well saturated with liquid. Sprinkle dirt over them generously, wait for the gas to evaporate. After leaving the sawdust and wash clothes.

Refined gasoline

If you want to clean the stain on jeans, it is best to use this method. It is necessary to moisten a piece of cotton wool in the tool, rub the fabric around the stain to avoid the appearance of stains. Only then can you start to remove the stain itself: wipe the track, moving to the edges from the middle. The last step - washing clothes with detergent.

Also, this method is suitable for down jackets. But after removing the traces, it is imperative to wash and rinse the thing twice.

White and colored things

There are other methods of removing stains - the choice of means largely depends on whether you are going to work with colored or white fabrics.

There is one small piece of advice: before using any tool, turn the clothes over, apply on a small piece of fabric near the seam. The tool can be used if the fabric has not thinned, has not changed color.

White clothes

To remove grease stains on light-colored clothes, you can use the following methods:

  1. Talc or soda. This method is valid only for fresh pollution. Just sprinkle the trace, put the "blotter" on top and iron it. After that, clothes need to be washed.
  2. Ammonia. Suitable when working with synthetic fabrics. In 200 ml of water mix 1 tsp. Treat the contamination with a cotton swab. Put a piece of cotton cloth on top and walk with the iron.
  3. A solution of salt and ammonia is great for removing dirt on the sleeves and collar. Handle traces carefully and wash clothes thoroughly.

But to remove stains with vinegar should not be, because as a result of its use, the material may turn yellow.

Colored clothes

With such things you need to be careful, because many aggressive means can simply "eat" the paint. The best option is to use special stain removers. But what if you just "put" a spot, and there is nothing at hand?

Take salt, water and sal ammoniac. The action algorithm will be as follows:

  • first clean the clothes from dust;
  • walk on it with a wet sponge;
  • turn the clothes on the wrong side;
  • make a design: take a wooden board and wrap it with a light cloth in 2-3 layers;
  • put blotting paper on top, a thing on top;
  • moisten the swab in the solution and blot around the dirt, then remove the stain, moving to the center from the edge;
  • wash the stain with laundry soap;
  • wash clothes.
