How can I get rid of scars at home

The established saying asserts that scars adorn a man. But modern ideas about beauty cast doubt on her.

Severe scars on the face and hands can significantly spoil the appearance, create an impression about a person that he would not like to make - for example, overly aggressive or, on the contrary, suicidal. A scar can be a reminder of not the most pleasant events in a person’s life, so it’s not surprising that people want to get rid of them, especially young girls.

But apart from aesthetic and psychological reasons, there are other, even more important reasons for removing some scars. A deep and large scar can affect not only the skin, but also the subcutaneous tissue under it, and in some cases, especially on the face and hands, muscles.

Scar tissue does not have the same elasticity as the skin, and moreover it cannot contract like a muscle, so the presence of rough scars on the face can disrupt facial expressions, and on the hands it can disrupt the mobility of small joints, including the interphalangeal joints. This can lead to a significant reduction in the ability to work.

Types of scars and scars

There are five main types of scars, they all differ in origin and appearance. How the scar will look and how it will affect the patient’s health and activity depends largely on the type of wound that led to his appearance and the conditions under which the wound healed.

Atrophic scars

Occur on the site of wounds in which there was flaking of the skin, as well as in some types of acne, with systemic diseases of the connective tissue. Externally, they look like scarring recessed into the skin. From an aesthetic point of view, this is the most accurate type of scars.

Hypertrophic

Occur in place of deep skin lesions. Rises above its surface, but in size limited to the area of the wound. They have a pink or red color, but rarely change the shape of the surrounding tissue. Over time, they may acquire a lighter shade, closer to a healthy skin tone, in some cases - to decrease in size.

Keloid scars

Occur on the site of large wounds, are the result of excessive collagen proliferation. Some experts refer them to benign tumors.

Significantly rise above the skin, grow beyond the wound, sometimes quite strong, have a red or dark color.

One of the most unpleasant from an aesthetic point of view, moreover, a nerve ending can get into the thickness of such a scar, which will lead to severe pain in the area of the scar.

Tightened scars

The cause of their appearance - burns, especially extensive. The scar covers the entire area of the burn, constricting the surrounding skin, which takes on a wrinkled appearance. Movement of the joints may be impaired, depending on the size - even large ones, for example, the elbow. They are a serious aesthetic defect, they can be painful.

Striae (stretch marks)

They also belong to the scars. The cause of their occurrence is stretching, and then a sharp compression of the skin. For example, this happens during pregnancy, with strong fluctuations in weight, hormonal changes.

A multitude of microtubules appears on the skin, which are gradually submerged inside the skin tissue, giving it a characteristic appearance. The safest from the clinical point of view, but can cause significant aesthetic discomfort.

The size of the scar formed and its appearance may depend on the way the first aid was given to the wound. For example, hypertrophic scars are more likely to occur at the site of large wounds that healed openly without suturing.

On the other hand, the seam contributes to the formation of atrophic, safer scars. In case of burns, skin plastic is widely used to avoid the formation of large strained scars.

What procedures can I use to get rid of scars?

It is impossible to predict exactly how a scar will turn out. But if the scar has already formed, you can get rid of it or reduce in size. For this there are various techniques. To treat the scar should be a professional beautician in a specialized salon.

Injections

Most often prescribed for atrophic and tight scars. Hyaluronic acid preparations are injected, which are injected under the skin.

The activation of fibroblasts, the formation of new healthy skin, which displaces the scar tissue. The surface of the scar smooths, becomes smooth and is flush with the surrounding tissue.

Laser removal (grinding)

It is used for hypertrophic scars. The essence of the method is that soldering of the skin vessels that feed the scar occurs, and the overgrown connective tissue is reduced in size. The scar becomes flesh-colored, flush with the surrounding skin, or slightly rising above it.

Ointments and creams

For stretch marks, small atrophic or tightened scars, as an additional tool after other treatment methods. Contribute to the improvement of tissue regeneration, but they must be selected individually.

It should be noted that none of the methods of treating scars does not guarantee its complete and complete removal.

At 15 years old, I experienced unhappy love - it does not happen to anyone. Tried to open the veins, but nothing happened. But the scar on his wrist remained. He didn’t really bother me before, but now I’ve graduated from college, I need to get a job, and on the personal front it goes to the wedding, so I don’t need such a reminder of teenage stupidity. I came to a beauty salon, they told me that everything was fixable, I needed to put only a few shots. My scar is small, so I didn't have to do much. And now I can calmly walk with a short sleeve.

Four years ago I had a fire in my apartment, I got a lot of burns, I was in hospital for a long time, after that there was a huge scar on my face. I then lived in the area, in the nearest hospital I couldn’t do anything with it, they said how to grow it, go to the city. In the regional hospital, the surgeon said that the charm must be removed and make plastic, and then I will have a face, almost as it was. And now I have been living for the third year - I am not complaining, at the new job they don’t even know that I had a burn.

I have an appendicitis scar on my stomach. He terrified me the horror as - ugly, so I decided to bring it down. I heard about the fact that if smeared with pine oil, the scar will come down. So he began to reduce it, smeared it for a whole month every day, but no result. I went to the clinic, the surgeon looked at me, as he looked at the savage, said that he would never get away, he had to be smeared before. And if you delete, the result will be the same. You can beat hyaluronic acid, but still it will not completely come off, only less will be slightly. Well, I decided that I do not need this trouble with injections, I will continue with a scar.
