Shrimp salads - a paradise for seafood lovers

For several years, unusual seafood salads have become popular not only in restaurants, but also on the ordinary family’s dinner table. Shrimp is the most common ingredient in tasty salads.

Crustaceans live in freshwater or saline waters. They contain large amounts of vitamins and nutrients: iodine, iron, magnesium, copper and proteins. Low-calorie and nutritious shrimps have a positive effect on muscle and vascular tone.

The recipe is simple step by step

Ingredients for Shrimp Salad:

  • 1 kilogram of frozen shrimp;
  • 5 eggs;
  • 2 potatoes;
  • 100 grams of cheese;
  • mayonnaise;
  • some red caviar.

Cooking time: 40 minutes.

Caloric content: 250 kcal per 100 g.

  1. Defrost shrimps and pour boiling water over them. To decorate the finished salad in the side remove a couple of beautiful shrimps. From the rest you need to carefully remove the shell and cut into three parts;
  2. Boil eggs and potatoes until ready, peel. Eggs are finely chopped, and cheese and potatoes are roughly rubbed. All products are ground in separate bowls;
  3. When all the ingredients are ready, you need to lay them out in layers in a convenient vase. The first layer consists of shrimp, then eggs, potatoes, grated cheese, another layer of shrimp and eggs;
  4. Salad should not be dry, so after each layer you need to smear mayonnaise;
  5. When products are laid out in a certain order, the salad should be decorated with shrimps and red caviar. The dish can be served after forty minutes, when it is well soaked.

Salad with shrimp and avocado

Ingredients:

  • ½ kg of shrimp;
  • 12 cherry tomatoes;
  • leaf salad;
  • 2 avocados;
  • 2 small sweet peppers;
  • cucumber;
  • any greens;
  • half a cup of natural yogurt;
  • Apple vinegar;
  • garlic clove;
  • salt and pepper.

Cooking time: 30 minutes.

Caloric content: 250 kcal / 100 g

  1. Peel avocados and cut into small cubes;
  2. Cool shrimp, if there is a shell - remove. Chilled, add to bowl with avocado;
  3. Cucumber and peppers (can be colored) cut into small cubes. Tomatoes divided into two parts. Put all products in a bowl;
  4. All the ingredients are ready - you can cook a dressing. Yogurt, vinegar (2 tsp.), Chopped garlic, salt and pepper mix to a uniform consistency in a separate bowl;
  5. You do not need to pre-season the salad dressing: they do it a few minutes before serving. If the gas station turned out a lot, it can be stored in the refrigerator, but not more than two days.

The recipe for a tasty salad with squids and shrimps

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 kg shrimp;
  • 3 squid carcasses;
  • onion;
  • salt;
  • granulated sugar;
  • Apple vinegar;
  • lemon peel;
  • mayonnaise.

Cooking time: 30 minutes.

Caloric content: 235 kcal / 100 g

  1. A small onion head should be cleaned and cut into rings in a small cup. Then pour vinegar (4st. L.), Salt and sugar. Mix well and marinate for thirty minutes. Then wring out - onions should not contain moisture;
  2. Boil the shrimp and remove the shell;
  3. Squids cook in lightly salted water, remove the film from them and cut into thin strips. Seafood should be cooked no more than three minutes, only in this case they will not be rubber;
  4. Squids, onions and shrimps mix in a bowl, add crushed lemon zest, herbs and mayonnaise.
  5. The smell of peel and onion is very strong and able to interrupt each other, so you need to mix the salad immediately before use.

Salad with arugula and shrimps

Ingredients:

  • shrimp - ½ kg;
  • arugula - 1 bundle;
  • hard or processed cheese;
  • 80 g pine nut;
  • 8 cherry tomatoes;
  • 4 tbsp. olive oil;
  • honey and mustard - ½ tsp;
  • Balsamic vinegar - incomplete teaspoon;
  • pepper, salt, garlic.

Cooking time: 20 minutes.

Caloric content: 245 kcal / 100 g

  1. Tomatoes divided into two parts. Chop the cheese with a food processor with a fine grater;
  2. Arugula split hands into small pieces;
  3. Peel the garlic. Divide the cloves into two parts and fry in olive oil for two minutes. After that, they need to pull out and cook seafood on the same oil (not more than three minutes);
  4. For dressing in a bowl, add olive oil, honey and mustard to the olive oil (2 tbsp). Pepper, salt. Mix everything thoroughly;
  5. Put cheese, tomatoes, arugula and shrimps in a cup, season with sauce and mix. Ready to decorate the salad with roasted pine nuts.

 

Caesar salad with shrimps

Ingredients:

  • king prawns - 1 kg;
  • green salad leaves;
  • cherry tomatoes - packaging;
  • hard cheese - 100 g;
  • White bread;
  • garlic - 1 clove.

For the sauce:

  • egg - 3 pieces;
  • fresh lemon;
  • garlic clove;
  • 1 tablespoon mustard table;
  • 100 grams of olive oil;
  • salt pepper.

Cooking time: 40 minutes.

Caloric content: per 100 g 249 kcal.

  1. Bread cut into small cubes and dry a little in the oven;
  2. Garlic divided in half and fry in vegetable oil. When the oil boils, remove it and fry the dried bread;
  3. Lettuce leaves for one hour pour cool water. This is done so that they remain crispy in the salad for a long time;
  4. Shrimp boil. Clean if necessary;
  5. Grate big cheese. Cherry cut in half;
  6. All the ingredients of the salad are laid out in the following order on a flat dish: lettuce leaves, tomatoes, shrimps, fried crackers;
  7. For dressing proteins are separated from the yolks. The latter warm up with a fork. Salt, pepper, mustard, chopped garlic, refined oil and juice squeezed from lemon are added to them. The sauce is well mixed to a uniform consistency;
  8. When all the layers of lettuce are laid out, pour them over with sauce and sprinkle with cheese. If desired, the remaining proteins can be cut into several pieces and lay out on top of the cheese.

Tips

Shrimps can be sold in processed (pink) or unprocessed (with a grayish tint) form. The first stew for five minutes, and the last for the readiness will take about ten minutes. Shrimp is poured into the water when it boils. You can add some salt.

Sand often accumulates in the intestines of medium or large shrimps, therefore, in addition to the shell, the intestines must also be removed. For this crustacean, you need to carefully cut and pull the insides.

It is very important when buying raw shrimp to remember that more than half of the weight gained will be waste.

  • You can add hard or melted cheese to the salad. In order not to spoil the taste of the dish, the latter must be of high quality;
  • Cherry tomatoes can replace ordinary tomatoes, which will need to be cut into several pieces;
  • For salad dressing, you can use not only olive oil. Wine vinegar, tartar sauce and fresh lemon juice are perfect for seafood.

Shrimp - very tasty and nutritious seafood, which is perfectly combined with almost any vegetables, rice, fish and even fruit. Salads can be filled with mayonnaise, olive or vegetable oils, make an unusual sauce.

A little imagination, and ordinary products in combination with crustaceans will acquire a completely different taste, which will be appreciated by relatives and friends.
