Troxevasin - a drug that is widely used in case of impaired venous circulation. It belongs to the group of angioprotectors.

Description of the dosage form, composition, pharmacological action

The tool comes in the form of cylindrical gelatin capsules. Inside it contains a yellowish powder, lumps are allowed, which are scattered when pressed.

Composition:

Main componentAdditional substancesCapsule
Troxerutin (0.3 g in 1 capsule)Magnesium stearateGelatin
Lactose monohydrateTitanium dioxide
Benzopyridine

One blister contains ten capsules, in a carton - five or ten blisters.

The drug has an angioprotective effect, i.e. it affects vessels (mainly veins and capillaries). Troxerutin due to changes in the fibrous layer narrows the pores between the endothelium cells. Slows aggregation and increases the deformation of red blood cells, has anti-inflammatory properties.

In patients with chronic venous insufficiency, the drug relieves swelling, eliminates painful and convulsive syndromes, fights against tissue trophism and varicose ulcers.

The tool can be used for hemorrhoids: Troxevasin significantly relieves pain and burning, eliminates bleeding.

By strengthening the walls of blood vessels and reducing their permeability, the development of diabetic retinopathy, a serious complication of diabetes mellitus associated with damage to the retinal vessels, is slowed down. Troxerutin affects the viscosity and fluidity of blood and thereby prevents retinal thrombosis.

Absorption of the active substance after administration is about 15%. The highest concentration in the blood is observed two hours after administration. Therapeutic concentration is kept in the blood for eight hours.

Metabolism of troxerutin occurs in the liver. About 20% of the active substance excreted by the kidneys, about 70% - with bile.

Reviews of tablets Troxevasin

According to the manufacturer, the medicine helps with venous insufficiency, hemorrhoidal nodes and even with diabetes mellitus (prevents the occurrence of serious complications). The tool can be used for the prevention of blood clots. I use it to strengthen the veins and prevent varicose veins. To enhance the effect I take along with ascorbic.

There are no specific contraindications for Troxevazin, nor any side effects. According to the instructions, it is enough to drink the capsules for two weeks, which I periodically do. I drink three capsules a day. There will be no pronounced effect immediately, but I can say that at the end of the course, the swelling has gone, and the legs have become much easier.

Inga, 36 years old, St. Petersburg

I was diagnosed with varicose veins of the initial degree. The doctor recommended the use of venotonics. At first I bought Troxevazin gel, but I did not get a pronounced effect.

For better results, I decided to take capsules of the same drug. The effect has become much more noticeable than when using a single gel. I advise you to use these tools in a complex.
