Diet for gastritis of the stomach: a description and a sample menu for the week

Gastritis is one of the most common pathologies. This disease leads to constant snacking, taking food on the run, eating fast food and low-quality food. For this reason, the correct diet for gastritis is so important, which will avoid serious complications.

Forms of gastritis and their features

Gastritis is divided into the following forms;

  • acute;
  • chronic;
  • atrophic;
  • antacid;
  • with increased acidity.

The presence of such habits usually leads to acute gastritis:

  • love for rough, spicy food;
  • regular overeating;
  • large amount of coffee;
  • alcohol consumption, smoking.

Chronic gastritis develops if the pathology is not treated on time. In the same case, there will be similar causes and symptoms, however, unlike the acute form, the symptoms are permanent - the periods of remission are replaced by relapses in the event of a violation of the diet, stress, alcohol consumption, etc.

Atrophic gastritis in most cases is a precursor of a cancer.

In this form of pathology, the number of healthy cells in the mucous is reduced, they are replaced by connective tissue. It does not produce gastric juice, which means that it cannot participate in the process of digesting food.

Most often occurs after severe stress, anxiety.

Gastritis with high acidity is the most dangerous form. In this case, hydrochloric acid accumulates in the stomach, which can lead to mucosal damage, the appearance of ulcers, and erosion. Significantly increases the risk of gastric bleeding.

Pathology is difficult to cure, not to do without following a strict diet. Artists, journalists, people who spend a lot of time on business trips usually suffer from this disease: they eat dry rations and experience constant stress.

Antacid form of gastritis appears with a weak production of gastric juice. This pathology is rare, it is difficult and long to cure, and often the causes are simply unclear. Some believe that this form occurs under the influence of a hereditary factor. An important point of therapy is proper diet.

Diet for this disease implies:

  • fractional, but at the same time good nutrition: you need to eat in small portions 5-6 times a day;

  • it is necessary to reduce the amount of carbohydrates consumed, and increase protein and vegetable fat.

At the first symptoms should be excluded from the diet of those foods that can worsen the situation. If, after the examination, the diagnosis was confirmed, you should contact a nutritionist who will tell you about the rules for drafting a diet that is suitable for a particular case.

  2. At the second breakfast you can make a baked pumpkin with apples, drink mineral water without gas.
  3. At lunch: milk soup, baked fish with vegetables with porridge in the form of a side dish, cherry jelly.
  4. At lunch snack steamed potato pancakes.
  5. For dinner, it is better to cook diet chicken sausages, as a side dish - rice. Drink a glass of water.

In the case of increasing acid in the stomach can not be used:

  • fresh pastries;
  • any legumes;
  • cheeses;
  • any fried foods;
  • alcohol, including drugs based on it.

For pathologies with low acidity, it is desirable to include in your diet foods that increase acidity. Thus, the daily menu must necessarily include:

  • proteins - not less than 100 g;
  • 60 g of animal fat;
  • 150 g - vegetable fats;
  • carbohydrates - at least 400 g

The total energy value of the daily menu should be around 3100 calories. Also with this form of gastritis can be consumed:

  • biscuits or yesterday's bread;
  • ground vegetable soups, fish or chicken broths;
  • steamed fish, chicken or rabbit;
  • stewed vegetables, including tomatoes;
  • cheese, cottage cheese, kefir;
  • cereals: millet, oatmeal, rice;
  • berry jellies, mousses, marshmallows, marmalade;
  • decoctions of wild rose, mint tea, chamomile infusions, fruit drinks from the berries.

By combining the above products, you can create a balanced and full menu for each day.

Diet for erosive gastritis gastric

In this case, the food is aimed at reducing the load on the stomach - it is necessary to consume everything boiled, steamed, and in the form of mashed potatoes. The diet should look something like this:

  • boiled soft-boiled eggs or steam omelette;
  • ground or cream soups from vegetables;
  • steam and steamed vegetables;
  • boiled fish;
  • dairy products of small fat content;
  • shredded boiled meat.
In this form of gastritis, the amount of salt should be minimized (and it is better to completely exclude it from the diet), food should be in the form of mashed potatoes. For the rest, you need to follow the general recommendations on nutrition.

Nutrition Tips for Atrophic Disease

This is quite a complex disease, but the basic recommendations on nutrition are not much different from the above tips. However, with this form of gastritis, it is necessary to drink medicinal mineral water, for example, Narzan or Yessentuki, and 30-45 minutes before a meal, you should drink a glass of herbal infusion of chamomile, hypericum, rosehip or mint.

The remaining recommendations are similar to those described above.

How to eat during an exacerbation

Separately, you need to say about the diet in the acute stage, since the requirements in this case are much stricter. In this case, doctors recommend:

  • yesterday's bread and no baking;
  • exclusively lean meat in shabby form;
  • vegetable broth soups;
  • jelly and fruit drinks from sour berries and fruits;
  • eggs in the form of an omelet;
  • low-fat cottage cheese;
  • vegetable puree;
  • teas or herbal infusions without sugar.

In the period of exacerbation, you need to exclude from the menu:

  • vegetables and fruits in their raw form;
  • any baking;
  • milk and products based on it;
  • butter, margarine;
  • barley porridge;
  • legumes.

With proper nutrition, pain and other manifestations of exacerbation of gastritis will pass, after that you can diversify your diet according to the general recommendations.
