The action of drugs "Almagel" is based on active ingredients. Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium has an adsorbing and antacid effects (neutralization of hydrochloric acid - the cause of heartburn), and also envelops the walls of the stomach.
Since this substance is included in all forms of drug release, these properties are stored in each of them. Sorbitol, which is part of the preparations, has a laxative effect, thereby neutralizing some effect of aluminum hydroxide, which can lead to constipation.
