What to do when pain occurs during pregnancy

The appearance of unpleasant sensations during this period is not uncommon, because it is caused by changes in hormonal levels, which can provoke inflammatory processes, the teeth themselves become more vulnerable. In addition, the lack of calcium, which is especially strongly observed in the third trimester, can lead to pain.

Naturally, in this period, take strong painkillers should not be, because you can harm the child. Best of all, of course, go to the doctor immediately, but if you do not have such an opportunity, you need to do the following:

  1. Brush teeth thoroughly to remove food residue.

If the pain is strong enough and rinsing does not help, you can drink No-shpu. And do not worry, going to the doctor, because modern medicine offers hundreds of drugs and techniques that will be 100% safe for the child.

What else can you do at home

Often the pain happens with growing wisdom teeth, which are at the very end of the dentition. They usually erupt after 24 years, but they can and much later, it even happens that they do not grow at all. Most often, their appearance is characterized by swelling of the gums, the appearance of discomfort, and various complications.

Severe pain can be caused by:

  1. Wrong growth of the "eight".
  2. Inflammation of the gums.

It should be remembered that discomfort in this period is quite a frequent phenomenon, which is easy to explain. Wisdom teeth begin to appear after the jaw is fully formed, there is no such good preparation, as with the growth of other teeth, the “way” for which milk teeth were prepared. And the eight grows for quite a long time, in some cases up to a year.

But if the pain is acute and constant, it is best to consult a doctor. Most likely, you will spend a small and quick operation to remove the "hood", that is, part of the gums, which interferes with growth. Also, to cope with unpleasant sensations, you can rinse the mouth cavity with saline.

Often the pain is felt after the removal of the tooth, especially in the lower jaw. This is a rather painful procedure, which leads to the violation of the integrity of bone tissue. In this case, the discomfort is completely natural. But it happens that after the procedure, inflammation begins, which can be caused by poor oral hygiene.

To facilitate this, it is advisable to gently rinse your mouth with an extract of chamomile or oak bark, and you should not make too sharp movements so as not to provoke a new “wave”: just add liquid to your mouth and hold for a couple of minutes. If the pain is too strong, you can drink one of the analgesics that we talked about above.

But also remember that most of the problems associated with improper hygiene, sparse brushing of teeth, late visits to the dentist, to which you need to go at least once every six months.
