Instructions for use of the patch Sopelka for children

Among the various means of the common cold, plasters have recently appeared that are effective, very easy to use. Among them is the "Sopelka" plaster, which can be used for children over 1 year old, it has few side effects and is inexpensive. The main thing is to follow the rules of its application.

Composition, release form and therapeutic effect

There are three types of patches that help fight the cold:

  • warming - they expand blood vessels, having the effect of a warm compress;
  • cooling, constricting vessels and facilitate breathing;
  • inhalation - such patches have a sedative effect, relieve the main symptoms of the disease.

Plaster "Sopelka" refers to the latter. It consists of only two components:

  1. Essential eucalyptus oil. In folk medicine, it has found wide application because it has an anti-inflammatory and disinfecting effect. It is used for sore throat, bronchitis, accelerates recovery. Due to the presence of this component in the composition, the patch disinfects the air, has a sedative effect, calms the baby.
  2. Camphor essential oil. It has a disinfecting and anti-inflammatory effect, dulls pain, accelerates regeneration. When inhaled, this oil has an irritating effect on the epithelium, due to which sputum disappears faster.

Due to this, the patch relieves inflammation, facilitates breathing. Only 2-3 hours after use, the baby feels relieved: it becomes easier to breathe, headache is eliminated, which often happens with nasal congestion, sputum disappears.

An analogue of this tool can be made at home by mixing two oils, but in this case it is likely to harm the baby using the wrong proportions.

"Sopelka" comes in the form of a thick patch, which is saturated with oil. In one box from 4 to 10 pieces.

Indications for use of the patch

This patch is used in several cases:

  1. Diseases of the respiratory tract, which are accompanied by sore throat, severe runny nose, cough. For example, with angina, laryngitis, cold, flu. When using "Sopelki" you can relieve swelling, reduce inflammation.
  2. Neuralgic symptoms. If the child does not sleep well, feels irritation, anxiety, this patch will help to calm, and due to the natural composition is not addictive.
It is important to remember that the patch should be used only in complex therapy, since it does not affect the disease itself, but only relieves the symptoms.

It is possible to use "Sopelka" even from childhood in the absence of contraindications.

Contraindications to use

Despite the fact that this drug has a sparing effect, there are cases when they can not be used:

  1. Age up to 1 year. For the treatment of babies can be used only as prescribed by doctors. And all because the respiratory system in children is not fully formed, oils can cause an allergic reaction.
  2. Asthma. In asthma, essential oils can provoke attacks that are especially dangerous for children.
  3. Allergy. It occurs very often and is manifested by various symptoms: from simple urticaria to angioedema. At the same time in childhood, allergic reactions occur incredibly quickly. To avoid allergies, you should do a small test before using Sopelka: apply a little oil on the skin in the elbow area: first camphor, then eucalyptus. With the appearance of redness, the use of a plaster is not recommended.
  4. Epilepsy or any other pathology that may be accompanied by convulsions. Before using the patch in this case you should consult with your doctor.

Instructions for use of the patch for the treatment of children

The instruction is very simple:

  • the protective layer is carefully removed;
  • adhesive side of the adhesive is pressed to a clean cloth, smoothed.

After that, the patch can be left for 6-8 hours, during which time the essential oils will evaporate.

Nuances

To make this patch effective, it is not enough just to stick it. There are a few simple rules:

  1. You can not glue the product on synthetic fabrics, since they can affect evaporation. As a basis, you can use only pure and natural fabrics.
  2. It is important and place of attachment. The plaster can be glued to clothing, but not to the skin - this is the main difference between Sopelka from warming or vasoconstrictor agents. It is best to place on the baby’s chest or on the pillow next to it. And you should not worry that the plaster will leave traces on your clothes - it is specially designed so that this does not happen.
  3. Do not forget about safety. Contact with mucous essential oils can cause irritation. Because the mouth, nose, abrasions on the body must be protected from contact with the "Nozzle". Therefore, you should immediately explain to the child why it should not be torn off and pulled into the mouth. If the child is too small, you will have to look after him.
  4. Proper storage is another important point. It can be stored in a cool and dark place, if the temperature in the room rises to +30 degrees, it is better to put the plaster in the refrigerator. Unpacked medicine can be stored for three years, after which the plaster dries out and loses its properties.

The cost of the patch an average of 300-500 rubles. If for any reason the plaster does not work, it can be replaced with the balsam "Golden Star", Gavkamen, etc.

If the child develops an itch, headaches after applying the patch, it is imperative that you see a doctor.

Reviews

Last year, the son picked up the ARD, it was difficult to breathe, he did not sleep well, he was constantly restless. The plaster "Sopelka" helped a lot, and our friend recommended it to us - only this remedy helped her daughter to eliminate the cold. As a result, literally two days after the start of application, the runny nose was gone, breathing was easier.

My daughter, 6 years old, fell ill with bronchitis after the walk, coughed heavily, which made her hardly sleep for several nights. To alleviate the condition, we used Nozzle. The patch became an excellent means of supplementing therapy, although we used antibiotics and other drugs that helped to cope with the disease. But thanks to "Sopelka" the child began to breathe and sleep normally.
