Persen Forte is an effective drug that calms the nervous system and has an antispasmodic effect. The drug eliminates arousal and irritability, improves sleep and mood, but does not cause addiction.
Persen Forte in pharmacies is available without a prescription, but the dosage must be prescribed by a doctor, because the drug enhances the effect of anesthetics and sleeping pills.
Composition and characteristics
The medicine, the active components of which are herbal extracts, is available in tablets or capsules with a dark brown casing, is packed in a box of cardboard 2, 5, 6 and 8 blisters. Effectively struggling with insomnia valerian root, which contains:
- natural carbohydrates;
- glutamine;
- pentanoic acid;
- arginine;
- tannins.

Auxiliary components are iron and magnesium oxides, glucose, lactose monohydrate. Their composition does not change with different doses of active substances. In one capsule there is 125 mg of valerian, 25 g of mint and lemon balm.
Persen Forte does not lose medicinal properties for 3 years if stored in a dry, cool place.
Instructions for use
Tablets or capsules of the drug washed down with clean water in an amount not less than half a glass. To eliminate the strong excitability, the drug is used three times a day and always before going to bed.
The daily dose should not exceed 12 tablets or 9 capsules. For a child older than 3 years, it is reduced by half, after 12 - it corresponds to the norm for an adult.
The drug should not be taken with alcohol, because in combination with a large amount of alcohol the nervous system is inhibited, with a small one - the medicine simply does not help.
For people who suffer from insomnia, 2 tablets or 1 capsule is enough. If necessary, the dose is doubled. The drug is taken an hour before bedtime. For more than 2 months in a row, this medicine should not be taken.
Indications for use
The active ingredients of the drug reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, and tablets and capsules are used for various disorders of the nervous system. Persen Forte effectively cope with insomnia, which occurs after stress, mental fatigue, due to lack of rest and as a result of taking medications that affect the psyche.
The drug is prescribed to eliminate:
- irritability;
- neurosis;
- increased excitability.
Tablets are used for asthenoneurotic syndrome, which is accompanied by fatigue, anxiety, and reduced working capacity. Pathology often affects young people after quarrels, stresses, lack of sleep.
They take the drug with a strong nervous excitability, the occurrence of which is associated with problems at school or institute, in the family or at work. Tablets help to improve concentration and calm down.
When expressed neurosis, when a person loses working capacity, the drug is used in combination with other medicines.
Persen Forte does not eliminate panic attack, in which the heart rhythm becomes more frequent, dizzy. However, removing the nervous strain, the drug reduces the frequency of attacks.
Who should not apply
Doctors do not advise the use of pills or capsules of the drug for mental disorders like depression. The drug does not eliminate this condition, and inhibits the nervous system. Do not prescribe the drug:
